Advancing Forestry Through Independent, World-Class Research

“Integrate knowledge with practice to ensure the development of sustainable forestry – designing research that addresses causal and systemic interrelationships across the forest ecosystem chain.”

The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Forestry (International Program) is a research-intensive, three-year doctoral degree taught entirely in English at the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University. The program builds independent researchers who create new, internationally recognized knowledge in forestry by integrating interdisciplinary expertise with modern digital tools and technologies. Doctoral candidates work across 7 research areas – from watershed and forest ecology to forest engineering, resource management, wood and paper technology, silviculture, and nature tourism – and disseminate their findings to national and international stakeholders under a strong framework of research ethics.
